Dr. Emley is retiring!

After careful consideration and an extensive amount of thought, I have decided to retire and will not be returning next year.

I want to reassure you that for the remainder of the school year, we have many academic milestones to accomplish, fun events to enjoy, and memories yet to be created so I will continue to give my personal best on a daily basis.  I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism of our staff, the effort of our students, and the positive spirit and support of our community.  I’ve found that Corinth is truly a special place to learn and work and will miss the community which I have become a part of these past nine years.

And remember, as always, it is a great day to be a Dragon!

Corinth awarded Governor’s Achievement Award

I am pleased to announce that Corinth has been honored as a top performing school by receiving from the state of Kansas the Governor’s Achievement Award for Building Level API scores.  Schools receiving this award must score in top 80% in Math and Reading and being in the top 5% of elementary schools in the state of Kansas.   This significant achievement is the result of a great deal of hard work each day by students and teachers.   This award is also a reflection of the tremendous support we receive from parents.  It is a great recognition for the entire Corinth School Community!

At some point in the near future, we will have a school-wide assembly to celebrate this award.

It’s a great day to be a Dragon!  – Ken Emley
